In 2003, the Kansas State Legislature passed HB 2176 which would have regulated abortion clinics.  Then Governor Sebelius vetoed it.

The bill easily passed both the State House and State Senate.  However, the bill was vetoed by Governor Sebelius who has taken over $38,000 in political contributions from Tiller.

Sebelius is not prone to use her veto pen.  Including the clinic regulation bill, Sebelius vetoed only four bills in 2003.

Of the fourteen state legislators who took contributions from Tiller, only one voted in favor of the legislation.  (This legislator has since retired.)

The State House had enough votes to override the veto, but the State Senate was three votes short of the number required for an override.

Interpretation: Abortionists are already subject to the rules they make for themselves.  Abortionists are doing a great job regulating themselves! Trust me... everything is okay!!
