In the mid 1990s, George Tiller expanded his abortion clinic.

Pouring the concrete foundation for the clinic expansion.  The brown structure in the background is the original building.

Tiller had bought three houses south of the clinic and had them moved.  He then put a new parking lot on that ground and then expanded his clinic building to cover the original parking lot.  He walled up the original windows and west entrance that faced the street.

During the expansion, the Metropolitan Area Planning Department (MAPD) quickly granted the clinic its own subdivision known as the "J&G Addition" (J&G stands for Jeanne and George. Jeanne is his wife.)

Yet when Pro-Lifers tried to get the next residence rezoned, they encountered great resistance.  Tiller neighbor and supporter Alice Grim was the main antagonist in this zoning battle.

Steven L. Willett of Baughman Company P.A. surveyed Tiller's expanded property.

Following are Polaroid pictures taken during construction.  The first picture shows one of the three houses before it was removed.  Other photos show the various stages of construction.

Some photos name the companies involved in the project.  All text on the photos was written by the anonymous photographer.

Some of these images link to the company they name.

Caster Excavating has done business with Tiller before.  In 1991, they poured a new sidewalk at the clinic.
