On the walls of his waiting room, Tiller proudly posts letters from some of his former patients. These grateful notes are in stark contrast to the disturbing accounts of several other women who had abortions at Tiller's clinic.
In addition, Tiller's portrait is surrounded by awards from various proabortion organizations.
Following are some of the letters on his wall. The text is repeated below each letter.
Dear Dr. Tiller & Staff, It's been almost a month since my dad and I took on the travel to Kansas and things are almost back to normal. My dad quit pacing and now drinks only 35 cups instead of 70. My parents and I have a relationship now that most people only dream about. Although the first week after was a bit uncomfortable we all learned that there are some things that just cannot be ignored. I don't feel any psychological pain like my mother kept peeping around the corners to look for, but instead I feel proud that I was smart enough to realize that a child is a big responsibility. I understand that without the clinic's help, I would have had another door slammed in my face. Thank you all of you and remember that each girl who leaves you place takes a little bit of all of you in her heart especially me. If anyone gets a chance to write I'd like to hear how ya'll are doing. Thanks again, I love...
Dear Dr. Tiller and Staff, Thank you very much for helping me. You really helped me in many ways. I am looking forward to being myself again. Going out with friends, playing basketball, getting my driver's license, and being myself again. If it wasn't for you, I don't know what I would have done or where I would be. You are very nice and so is your staff. The counseling really helped me. It was hard when I...

Dr. Tiller and Staff, Words can not express the thanks I have for all of you. You guys just helped me go through a very hard time and a decision that I had to make at a very young age. Kindness & love shows so much through each & everyone of you. Now I can go on with my life and accomplish my dreams and goals I've had since I was a little girl. All of this is because of ya'll. Love you guys. (The signature and home town have been blocked by this webmaster.)
Dr. Tiller & Staff, Thank you for helping me through this difficult time. I never thought I would be in this situation and I remember thinking I just wanted to pretend nothing ever happened and that I never wanted to go to Wichita again. But once I got to the clinic, I met so many people who really care. Everyone at the clinic made it much easier for me. Now I have a closer relationship with my parents and feel like I can talk to them about anything. I can't thank you enough for the smiles, hugs, and encouragement. Thank you for everything. Linda B.
