"George Tiller is a family man. He's got kids, he
takes them skiing, he's involved in the community. If you didn't know that
George did abortions, you'd think he was the world's nicest guy.
''He's just a real nice person to sit down and talk to.
He's got a social conscience and a big heart.
"He's a very well-rounded, interesting guy who just
happens to do what has become socially a very dirty job.
''I admire the fact he's willing to stand up and do it.
He happens to believe that his patients need that care. When I heard about
the protests that are coming up, I wrote him a letter, and said, 'Hang in
there, George.' "
